Anglo Irish Bank Launches New Assurance Company
|
Anglo Irish Bank is pleased to announce that following approval in principle received last December from the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, the Bank has now received a full licence to operate its own assurance company. Consequently, the Bank today (Friday 19th January 2001) announces the launch of Anglo Irish Assurance Company which will provide a bespoke service to customers with a range of personal, corporate and retirement investment solutions.
The new company, headed up by Anton Davies, Managing Director, will provide a unique range of high value, flexible financial services for pre and post retirement and for personal and corporate investments.
Anglo Irish Assurances products are flexible, offering customers 24 hour access to their investments, the option of free fund switching, fixed price charging, access to internal and external fund managers and control of their own personal portfolios. Access and flexibility are key to Anglos offering and will be maximised through the companys interactive website: www.aiac.ie which will enable customers to track the progress of their investments, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Whereas the website will be available from Monday 22nd January, the interactive aspect of the website will be fully functional from mid March.
Commenting on todays announcement, Anton Davies, said: Anglo Irish Assurance is the first to market with this unique personal finance offering. For too long, people invested money into pension plans and investment related products and then forgot about them. We offer our customers tailored solutions to suit their needs and our range of investment services encourages the customer to stay involved in their investment and enables them to change their portfolio as and when they want. This clearly differentiates Anglo Irish Assurance from other players in the market.
