On 24th February 2011, under powers granted by the Credit Institutions (Stabilisation) Act 2010, the Irish Minister for Finance, in consultation with the Central Bank of Ireland, announced the immediate transfer of certain UK-based deposits and assets from Anglo Irish Bank Corporation Limited, to AIB Group (UK) p.l.c. by way of a Transfer Order made by the Irish High Court.
