New Accounts
Further to the Transfer Order dated 24 February 2011, the Irish Minister for Finance, in consultation with the Central Bank of Ireland, announced the immediate transfer of the majority of Irish and UK deposits from Anglo Irish Bank Corporation Limited (“Anglo Irish Bank”) to Allied Irish Banks p.l.c and to AIB Group (UK) p.l.c. (together, “AIB”). Anglo Irish Bank will continue to supply support services to AIB until the operational aspects of the transfer process have been completed including the opening of new accounts on AIB’s behalf. Deposit accounts as described on this website can be opened with Anglo Irish Bank which is providing this service on behalf of AIB.
